If anyone is wondering why I have the shakes, its because the EQ subscription I was using ran out.

As it stands, I'm both Ambassador and Administrator of our Guild (Carpe Noctem)... and apparently people miss me. So there's talk of helping my poo' ass get a Game Card so I can play. Until then, I'll subsist on the boards, Magic, and waiting for word on the World of Warcraft beta.

Oh, and the coming games I think I'm getting involved in.

Of course there's Rob's D&D game. I get to be a Death Knight now. I never thought being knocked to -100 HP and turned to stone would turn out to be a good thing... but then, this is Rob we're talking about. Heh.

I kind of doubt I'll be making it to Quest this weekend. This is sadness. Everyone was really excited about Shan & I going, but our schedules are just not going to permit it. I think I'm going to operate on the assumption that it's not going to happen and plan accordingly.

So it's off to the Greensburg LARP, provided I get my character approved. A non-traditional Tremere, a mix of the Punisher and John Constantine from Hellblazer. Scruffy, no-nonsense, slightly rough-around-the-edges and certainly not worried about hunting down the skull of his grandsire to grind it into a Thaumaturgical aphrodisiac. ...Good lord, I'm already slipping into character...

Rather than smoke in character (a big no-no-no), I'm have a toothpick. I just think that's groovy. It conveys the style of the character, won't really annoy anyone, and it can be useful in a variety of Thaum rituals. Heck, had this guy been a Mage, he might have used it as a focus. I've already thought up a couple uses for it.

I don't want to do anything close to abusive to my lungs right now anyway. I'm fighting a cold. Justin has been at our place the last few days and I think Shan & I might have picked up his chest cold. It would explain the sore throat, runny nose, and general feeling of blah. But hey, my LARP character will have a nice deep callous voice. I'm dedicated to my craft, darn it.

I need to call my parents. Not for money, though things are definitely still tight. We need to move. Anyway, I need to call Mom & Dad about Halloween and Brooke's costume, as well as figure out sleeping arrangements etc. I'm really looking forward to spending a few days out there and having my family around me, both old and new. Not that my family's old by any stretch...

...maybe I should just shut up now.
